Couran Cove Island Resort is situated on South Stradbroke Island, a brief 20 minute ferry ride away from the Hope Harbour Ferry Terminal close to the Gold Coast. Couran Cove Island Resort is the brainchild of Australian sporting legend Ron Clarke, who was inspirational in creating a world class beach-based ecotourism resort with award winning sporting, leisure and conference facilities.

The resort is surrounded by pristine tropical rainforest and nature trails noted for bird and animal life. A surf beach is only a short walk from the facility, and the conditions can be monitored on surf-cam from your room. Two of Australia's finest resort courses - Sanctuary Cove and Hope Island are no more than a 30-40 minute water taxi ride from the resort. Golf tours, include transfers, green fees and golf cart hire (club hire is additional), can be arranged at Hope Island. Unfortunately, Sanctuary Cove golf course is under re-development and currently unavailable.
