INTRODUCTION - 2010 PEPTIDE MEETING
The 8th Australian Peptide Conference held in Couran Cove, South Stradbroke Island in 2009 was an outstanding success with a strong scientific program and once again attracting capacity numbers of delegates. We are delighted to announce that the 9th Australian Peptide Conference will be held at Hamilton Island, Queensland from 16th - 20th October, 2011. The meeting has the general theme of "From Discovery to Therapeutics". The scientific program will encompass cutting edge areas of peptide and related research including recent advances in chemical synthesis, the discovery of peptides with novel biological properties, methods for their functional and structural analysis, drug design & development, therapeutic antibodies, peptidomimetics, peptide-based therapeutics, emerging technologies and much more. This meeting will bring together delegates from the top local and international academic and medical research institutions as well as the bio-pharmaceutical and instrumentation industries to discuss the development of novel pharmaceuticals based on peptides, peptidomimetics and emerging technologies. In particular the Australian Peptide Conferences have always had a reputation for facilitating strong interaction between the academic and commercial participants, frequently leading to exciting collaborations. This conference will be a highlight of the Australian and International Peptide and Protein Scientific Calendar and will be of significant benefit to all involved. PARTICIPANTS
The previous eight Australian conferences have had strong scientific programs which have attracted major support from a broad cross section of the national and international research community. The meeting, which uses a Gordon Conference style format, has rapidly built an excellent international scientific reputation, and attracts over 200 participants which comprise senior researchers from Universities, Medical Research Institutions, with strong support from the bio-pharmaceutical and biotech industries and leading instrumentation manufacturers.
OPPORTUNITIES
A number of opportunities for commercial participation at the conference exist through sponsorship, social events, evening poster sessions and advertising.
We feel that this meeting would an important and unique opportunity for your organisation, and in particular your local and international representatives, to present your companies specific expertise and products in both formal (lectures, posters, advertising material etc.) and informal settings to all the other conference delegates. This will allow key contacts to be made, and provides all parties the opportunity to pursue possible solutions to their specific scientific needs. It is a requirement of the conference that all scientific delegates present data in some format which has typically resulted in the attendance by mainly senior scientists and from both Australia and overseas. In this context, we also encourage our sponsors to present their latest and greatest results at the meeting.

We are very much aware that each company has its own philosophy regarding how best to maximise its profile at a meeting such as ours, and that the options are many. We have therefore developed the policy of tailoring specific options to suit individual companies depending on the level of sponsorship they wish to commit to achieve mutual benefit for all parties. We have structured some packages listed below, however if you have a variation you would like please contact us to discuss it further. In addition we encourage company delegates to support the meeting scientifically by submitting suitable abstracts for inclusion in the oral or poster sessions. We have always found that such scientific involvement is an excellent way to promote the company scientific platform.
