Gilles Subra received his Ph.D. from Montpellier University under the supervision of Professor Jean Martinez in the field of combinatorial synthesis of libraries of α-MSH antagonists. He pursued his studies as an Institut Henri Beaufour postdoctoral fellow and set up the automated synthesis and analytical facility in faculty of Pharmacy as a tool for the discovery of new neuropeptides. In 2002, he obtained a permanent position at the University and is currently working as assistant Professor at the Max Mousseron Institute for Biomolecules (IBMM). His research topics, situated at the interface of chemistry, biology and analytical science, include polymer-supported chemistry, development of new combinatorial approaches and design of chemical tools for mass spectrometry of biomolecules.
